Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Eric Anfinson, MS, LMFT
(He/Him)

I aim to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for your therapy experience. My hope is we can collaborate to use your strengths and wisdom and my expertise to overcome whatever issues you may be facing. I like to help clients develop healthy skills to enrich their lives and solve problems while working in a session to resolve the underlying causes of symptoms. This holistic approach allows you to leave therapy empowered to continue improving yourself and your life. I apply an eclectic approach to therapy utilizing whatever model or theory seems to be the best fit for you.

“We get one life and I am honored to help you make yours the best it could be!”

Training and Certifications

  • Masters of Science
  • Marriage & Family Therapy
  • Graduate Certificate in Sex Therapy
  • EMDR

I love working with couples and individuals from any background. Especially highly motivated people who are successful in various areas of their life and are looking to bring those strengths into therapy. I enjoy helping couples that feel like their marriage just isn’t working anymore but want to put their hearts into making things better. Finally, I also really enjoy working with young adults who may be experiencing life transitions that have left them feeling lost, stressed, or unhappy.

I am passionate about working with men of all ages who feel like they are struggling with the ever-changing expectations of masculinity in their lives and relationships. This may look like a man who wants to learn to access emotions, control anger, manage depression/anxiety, or just have a place to process stressful life events. Men aren’t always taught how to identify or share feelings, and I enjoy showing men that when we learn how to do these things our lives can be forever changed for the better.

I am trained in EMDR, a treatment model for trauma, and love to help clients explore past experiences and how they may be holding them back from the life they want to live now.
