Therapy is all about emoting, introspection, communication, and empowerment, among other things. My goal as your therapist is to help you tap into these skills you already have as you move toward goal attainment. Together we can have the rewarding and at times difficult conversations that comprise this journey of personal growth.

Training and Certifications

I have nearly 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I graduated from Augsburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2013 and a Master’s in Social Work in 2015. As a licensed independent clinical social worker in the state of Minnesota, I am also in the process of obtaining Emotionally Focused Therapy certification to guide clients toward their relational goals.

I gravitate toward and thrive off client work that can seem untouchable. My clinical mission is to create a space where the client can discuss anything free of judgment. From there, my hope is that the client identifies other such people in his/her/their lives with whom he/she/they can relate freely.

I enjoy supporting clients through the difficulties of anxiety and mood disorders. Additionally, I have considerable experience helping clients navigate issues arising from substance use disorders and problematic sexual behaviors. I also welcome any client who wants to discuss how substance use may be affecting their sexuality.

I believe that relationships are at the core of the meaning we derive from life. I love to support clients through various relational concerns, including but not limited to: improving communication, building or rebuilding trust and intimacy, and any sexual concerns that may arise. I have worked extensively with and am a member of the LGTBQIA+ community. Finally, I am also very intentional about helping clients unpack complex factors of their identities. Self-knowledge is crucial to fulfilling relationships both with oneself and with others.
