“I have found, through painful experience, that the most important step a person can take is always the next one.”
Brandon Sanderson, Oathbringer

Areas of Focus
I have experience working with clients of all ages, but have a special interest in adolescents and young adults. It can be a challenging time and I can help you navigate the confusing and chaotic life transitions.
I also enjoy supporting clients that are living with chronic illness. I believe in meeting people where they’re at and honor their experiences first. I then can offer communication tools, coping skills, and a different perspective to approaching life’s obstacles.
I enjoy using parts work, influenced by Internal Family Systems, especially in connection with EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) therapy. Trauma is not your fault, and you don’t have to let trauma and negative thoughts about yourself define you. We can move through these experiences and feel unburdened.
“Trauma holds the seeds of chaos and creation.”
Unknown
I work from a trauma-responsive, feminist, and anti-capitalist lens. What that means is I believe the white supremacist patriarchal society we live in oppresses many and is a factor in our mental health. I’m here to guide you through realizing and exploring how this impacts you.
In therapy with you, you can expect a down-to-earth, approachable person who can meet you where you’re at. A strong therapeutic/client relationship is important, and my goal is to have you feel supported and validated in our sessions.
